Most seeds are bred to introduce traits that are of commercial benefit. Currently the Ingot plant breeder calibrations have been developed for two economically important crops, wheat and oilseed rape.
The plant breeders NIR calibration database contains samples collected over a wide time frame and cover a diverse range of geographical origins, seasonal variations and varietal differences. This data is fundamental for ensuring the calibrations are robust and applicable to plant breeders worldwide. The calibrations contain measurements that are key to the traits for which the material is being bred.
The Plant breeders calibrations are compatible with all NIR hardware. The calibrations are dynamic and are being constantly updated with new data from around the world and emerging NIR technology.
